Be Yourself

Audioslave has done it again! The awesome band (formed by ex Soundgarden singer Chris Cornell and Rage Against the Machine's musicians Tom Morello, Tim C. and Brad Wilk) has rocked up the charts with the May released album, Out of Exile.

"We've made an album we're really proud of and having the No. 1 record in the country is amazing. Do not doubt it: Our fans rule," Morello said.

My personal favorite is the first single from Out Of Exile, Be Yourself. This song was #1 on Rock and Alternative radio charts for four consecutive weeks.

Being a lyrics minder when I listen to music, I liked what the song was about the minute it started playing. The message is simple:

"To be yourself is all that you can do."

It's true. Even if you have layers, or lies surrounding you, it all comes from inside you. It's all your creation, and even if it's theatrical, it is born from you. Of course, peeling the layers and being more truthful each day is more ideal. Everyone is different, and that's OK.

I remeber when I was 13 I saw Soundgarden in concert. They were opening for Guns N' Roses...I loved him even then! When I heard the song "Spoon Man" I fell in love with Chris!!!

Soundgarden es lo maximo. Aunque creo que Chris Cornell como solista es mucho mejor, me encanta Audioslave. La cancion que mas me gusta de ese album es Your Time Has Come... uber cool!

mierkina si! me encanta lo que dice "still I don't know why you're dying long before your time has come", it goes with the current theme de aprovechar la vida. :)

I felt proud of them when they got to play in cuba for free.. that was a great thing to do. Breaking barriers they go.
