It's the same for me. For example, my country is the land of merengue (a type of music) and I'm not that much of a big fan to dancing it. Yet there can be people in Spain that are absolute lovers.
Same thing happens with mangoes, and so on. But yes, there's a lot of the ancient wisdom in traditional yoga that I really like. :)
