Phew! 2006 was quite a ride, full of ground shakes and knocks on new doors. But it is how Balboa says to his son in Rocky 6:
"... it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!"
I loved this past year though. War is waged upon those who will most likely respond with similar assault tactics. And the more I get to know myself, the more I clear the smog out of my motives, and the larger the willingness for peace and understanding. The greater joy does not come from being loved, although that feels wonderful; it comes from being able to love, from actually loving.
